The event offers various race categories including full Marathon (42.195 KM), Half Marathon (21.097KM), 10 Km, and 5 Km, All distances are Timed Run except 5 km.

Yes, there will be BIB Expo one day prior to the event day on 31st January at Venue only from 10:30 am to 7 pm at Kalachakra Ground, Bodh Gaya, Bihar. Registered participants will be informed about the BIB Expo 10 Days prior to the event.

Full Marathon & Half Marathon - Minimum Age should be 18 Years on event day 10 KM - Minimum 12 Years on event day 5 KM - Minimum age should be 8 Years on event day.

Absolutely! The Bodh Gaya Marathon encourages participation from runners of all levels, from beginners to experienced athletes. It's a celebration of fitness and the spirit of running.

Yes, aid stations with water, energy drinks, and first aid support will be strategically placed along the route to ensure the well-being of participants, Participants will get Hydration support at every 1-2.5 km.

Yes, there will be cash prizes for winners in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10KM, and 5KM categories. Only the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers in each of these categories will receive cash prizes.

For the Full Marathon and Half Marathon, additional cash prizes will be awarded to age category winners. Age category results will first be announced as provisional, and the management will verify them over a one-week period. Final confirmed winners will be announced after one week.

Please note:
  • The 10KM and 5KM categories have no age divisions.
  • The 3KM Fun Run is a non-competitive event with no cash prizes.

Absolutely! The Bodh Gaya Marathon welcomes supporters and spectators to cheer for the participants and enjoy the event's vibrant atmosphere.

Yes, timing chips will be provided to participants to ensure accurate timing and results for Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10KM Runners.

Age categories and Prizes

Full Marathon & Half Marathon (Age categories)

  • 18 to 34 Years – Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female
  • 35 to 44 Years – Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female
  • 45 to 54 Years – Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female
  • 55+ Years – Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female
  • Note: Participants below 18 years of age are not eligible for any prizes.

10KM – Timed Run (No Age Categories)

  • This is a timed category open to all participants, without age divisions. Cash prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers.
  • Note: Participants below 12 years of age are not eligible for any prizes.

5KM – Sujata Run (No Age Categories)

  • This category is open to all participants, without age divisions. Cash prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers.
  • Note: Participants below 10 years of age are not eligible for any prizes.
3KM – Niranjana Run (Fun Run for All)
  • Non-competitive category; no age divisions, no cash prizes.
